16 challenges you might face and what to do about them
Welcome to the final article in our setting boundaries series!
We’ve covered a lot this month, from how to set boundaries with yourself and others to holding firm when those limits are tested to what role your core personality traits play in boundaries.
Now, we’re wrapping it all up with a tip for each personality type, to help you see where you might struggle in this area and what to watch out for when setting boundaries.
You can read all 16 tips to better understand the people in your life, or scroll straight to your type and start there. Either way, we hope you walk away with something useful.
Where You Might Be Struggling with Boundaries, Based on Your Personality Type
For each personality type, we’ll share one specific boundary challenge that might show up in your relationships and one gentle, practical way to address it.
These insights are meant to illuminate patterns you might (or might not) recognize in yourself. Think of this as a starting point for awareness, not a rigid prescription for who you are or how you must act.

You might assume that others understand when you need alone time or deep work without you having to say it explicitly. After all, it seems so obvious. But what feels obvious to you isn’t always visible to the people around you.
Try stating your boundaries directly, even when it feels redundant: “I need two hours of uninterrupted time this afternoon,” or “I’m not available this weekend because I need to recharge.” This gives people the clarity they need to actually respect your space.
